For hundreds of years, portraits have significantly influenced how society views the Royal Family. This display tracks the development of royal portrait photography from the 1920s to now, with over 150 photos, proofs, and documents from the Royal Archives and the Royal Collection.

The exhibit features work by well-known photographers like Cecil Beaton, Dorothy Wilding, Annie Leibovitz, and Rankin. It also highlights relationships between photographers and their royal subjects, especially the case of Antony Armstrong-Jones, who married Princess Margaret in 1960 and later became Lord Snowdon.
