Bucarelli Palace, also known as the Palace of the Counts of Santa Coloma, is a jewel of the Sevillian Baroque. Built by the Bucarelli family from Florence, in the 17th century, it was at a time when Seville was "the Gate of the World" due to the colonization of America and Magellan's Circumnavigation.
Originally, part of the house was a work area, dedicated to the business and storage of merchandise, such as "spices, gold, silver, silk, ceramics..." The other part of the palace was residential and private.
Very important people have been born in this house over the years, including "viceroys, governors, generals, abbesses, dean of the Cathedral of Seville, and warden of the Alhambra in Granada..."
The most authentic and genuine thing is that since its origin, the Bucarelli Palace has belonged to the same family.
