Enjoyable. Lots to see and do, for the young and old. Loved the butterflies, one flew onto my hand and stayed on there for like 3 minutes.

Great atmosphere, plenty of plants to see and learn about. Definitely recommend if you are looking for some outdoor activity in Utrecht.

Botanische Tuinen Universiteit Utrecht (Botanical Gardens Utrecht University) is among the oldest extant university gardens in the Netherlands. With over 9,000 species of plants, trees and flowers, the largest Rock Garden in Europe, unique butterfly greenhouse, and many more special attractions, the Gardens are absolutely worth a visit! The Gardens are easily accessible by public transportation from the center of Utrecht, as well as by bicycle or car.
