We decided to ride the bus on our first day to get our bearings of the city and thought it would be fun for the kids. You can listen to the information about the city in lots of different languages through some headphones. We didn’t get on and off, I don’t think anybody did. It takes about an hour to get round. San Luca is definitely worth a visit, if you have kids take the train otherwise it’s about a 2km uphill walk but very nice under the arches. Be sure of what time the train/bus returns because this wasn’t made completely clear. Some timings are only for weekends/bank holidays. Also it may be a bus that arrives to take you back rather than the train. If you miss it you could be stuck up there for a while.
