Wander along the banks of the Spree and hear stories about the Brandenburg Gate, visit the memorial for the dead of the Berlin Wall, step inside Germany's corridors of power at the Reichstag, sit in the Bundestag, gaze over the city from the famous glass dome, and more.

Beginning in front of the Academy of Art on Pariser Platz, you'll follow your guide past the Brandenburg Gate towards the River Spree. You'll learn about the historical events that have taken place here, which shaped the course of European history.

From there, you'll be lead along the Spree, taking in the political buildings and historic sites which line the river. Pay respects at the memorial for the dead of the Berlin Wall, and see where the wall once divided East and West Germany.

From there, you'll head inside the Reichstag building for a close encounter with the machinery of German governance. You can sit in the bleachers of the Bundestag, and learn about the parliamentary processes that keep German democracy ticking over. From there, you'll make your way to the impressive glass dome of the Reichstag for some spectacular views over Berlin.

It's important to note that this tour is available in German only, so a good working understanding of the language is a must.
