  • Try six dishes that represent Berlin's rich and varied gastronomic scene, from German staples to delicacies introduced by a kaleidoscope of immigrants!
  • See the East Side Gallery, a long stretch of the Original Berlin Wall, decorated with over 100 murals and paintings by artists from around the world!
  • Explore the RAW Market, an ex-train repair yard that now houses art galleries, nightclubs, beer gardens, a bouldering hall, and an indoor skate park!

Delve into the diverse cultural fabric of Friedrichshain, a true melting pot in the heart of East Berlin. This tour explores the varied gastronomic landscape of Berlin, ranging from a traditional Döner Kebab that has been a favourite of the locals since the end of World War II, to the newer Middle Eastern cuisine introduced by refugees in 2015. In addition, the tour pays tribute to Germany's authentic culinary treasures, including a rustic Flammkuchen and three varieties of beer.

The food will be accompanied by a look behind the curtain at the events that have shaped East Berlin, from the separation of the city in 1945 to the fall of the Wall in 1989, and into the modern day. Throughout the afternoon, you will gain a deeper understanding of Friedrichshain's artistic roots and learn about the evolution of East Berlin's people throughout the last half-century.

The tour takes you beyond the usual tourist attractions, allowing you to immerse yourself in the true essence of Berlin.
