The Berggruen Museum is located in Berlin-Charlottenburg, on the city's west side. The buildings containing the Museum Berggruen and Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg were actually commissioned by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. They were completed in 1859 after taking eight years to build. The most recent expansion was in 2013.
