Want to see the flamboyant and famous Park Güell? How about spinning through a 4D world of Catalan Modernism in the thrilling Gaudí Experience? Save yourself the hassle of printing paper tickets by downloading our forest-friendly smartphone tickets. It's what Gaudí would have wanted.
At Park Güell, perched high on the hills, you'll step into what was originally intended as a gated community for the city's well-to-do. It was opened to everyone when Gaudí passed away in 1926, and at that point, the architect himself had called it home for 20 years.
Man-made walls, roads, and walkways mimic fluid forms found in nature. Exuberant buildings, colorful tiles, and the amazing snaking Serpent Bench all beg for you to take a photo. The views of Barcelona from up here are like no other!
The Gaudí Experience is a thrilling introduction to the visionary's extraordinary ideas. His designs and architectural masterpieces make up some of Barcelona's best buildings. Dive into the 4D world of Catalan Modernism and learn what made Gaudí tick.
There are two parts to the experience: 17 minutes in the 4D cinema and a 20-minute exhibition. Thanks to an impressive surround-sound screen, stereoscopic vision, plus moving seats with special effects, you'll see – and even feel – the ways in which Gaudí was inspired by nature all around him.
See a forest become towering columns, spy the guardians hidden by chimneys, and watch a roof transform into iridescent dragon skin. All this and more (including a scale model of Park Güell) will give you a much better understanding of Catalonia's favorite architect.
You can use Bus Güell to reach Park Güell. Departures are every 10min from Alfons X Metro station. This is only possible during the operation hours of Park Güell.
