Founded by Antoni Tàpies to preserve and share his work, the museum showcases the different stages of his artistic career through its permanent collection and changing temporary exhibitions featuring Catalan and international artists.

Visitors can also explore the museum's specialized library and see Núvol i cadira (Cloud and Chair), the rooftop sculpture.
