The Montserrat Cable Car has been running since 1930 and provides spectacular panoramic views of Catalonia's rugged countryside. It's the easiest way to scale 'Saw Mountain', enabling stress-free transport up to the Benedictine Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey and its famous miracle-performing Our Lady of Montserrat statue.

Montserrat has been a pilgrimage site for nearly a thousand years, but luckily, you don't need to toil up the mountain like the Christians of the Middle Ages!

  • By car: 50 km from Barcelona. It takes about 35 minutes

Es ist im Internet nicht gut beschrieben. Wenn man die Tickets kauft, wird man per Maps an die Endstation (also oben) hingeleitet. Man geht davon aus, dass es beim Kloster keine Parkplätze gibt...
Es ist im Internet nicht gut beschrieben. Wenn man die Tickets kauft, wird man per Maps an die Endstation (also oben) hingeleitet. Man geht davon aus, dass es beim Kloster keine Parkplätze gibt und die Seilbahn oder den Zug nehmen MUSS. Besser wäre es, man zeigt die Talstation als Ausgangspunkt auf Google Maps an. So waren wir eigentlich schon oben und hätten die Seilbahnfahrt nicht gebraucht.
