Damnoen Floating Market is located about 100 km southwest of Bangkok, Thailand. The market's origins date back to the late 19th century. It's now primarily a tourist attraction for domestic and international visitors, often considered the most famous floating market in the world.

Arguably the world's most precariously positioned marketplace, Maeklong Railway Market is famous due to the active railway tracks that pass right through its center packed with stalls, sending the vendors scrambling to close up their awnings, gather their goods, and move out of the way as the train passes through! It's a sight unlike any other!

In Kanchanaburi outside of Bangkok lies the famous Bridge on the River Kwai, made famous in the book and later film Bridge on the River Kwai, starring Alec Guinness.
