Book online and turn up and go , minimal waiting and fantastic views of Paris. Some history on the upper level was informative.
There is a lift for those who are unable to climb the steps to the top .

History rich attraction, walking up to the top rewards you with the most amazing 360 degree Parisian panorama. Beautiful and stunning in the same time.

The Arc de Triomphe is Napoleon's Neoclassical take on the ancient Roman triumphal arch. It's at the center of a square, with a dozen Parisian avenues radiating out from it into the rest of the City of Light.

At the base of the arch the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is rekindled at 6:30 each evening.

Opéra Garnier

This 19th-century architectural masterpiece was built by Charles Garnier at the wishes of Emperor Napoleon III. It's located at the Place de l'Opera, a square in Paris's 9th arrondissement. The insides of the Opéra Garnier boast some stunning Beaux-Arts architecture (the 30-meter high marble Grand Staircase for example).
