Museum Willet-Holthuysen

This house on the Herengracht was built in 1685-87 for then-mayor Jacob Hop. Louisa Willet-Holthuysen, widow of art collector Abraham Willet (1828-1888), vacated the property in 1895, leaving the house and its art collection to the city of Amsterdam.

Really enjoyed the tour of this historic canal house. Beautiful small garden and wonderful period pieces. Audio tour is excellent.
