The Moco Museum Amsterdam is inside Villa Alsberg, a townhouse built in 1904 in the center of Amsterdam’s Museumplein. The museum displays more than 50 original works by Banksy, along with pieces by Kusama, Roy Lichtenstein, Dalí, Warhol, Basquiat, Haring, and KAWS.
The Banksy: Laugh Now exhibition was the first to show Banksy’s work in a museum setting. While the artist is not officially connected to the show, it offers a rare look at pieces like Beanfield, which hadn’t been displayed since 2009.
You’ll also find well-known works such as Laugh Now, Barcode, Girl with Balloon, and Love Is In The Air (Flower Thrower), as well as several of his indoor pieces.
Some artworks were recovered from demolished buildings, highlighting their preservation and value. The lower level features works by artists like Keith Haring and KAWS.
Note that not all artworks are always on display, and the collection and exhibitions change regularly.
