Description

Climb aboard a 100-year-old traditional Dutch canal boat, grab a complimentary beverage, and prepare to see Amsterdam's best sights from its best vantage point – on the water! You'll learn about the life of Rembrandt as your skipper guides you on a uniquely intimate tour of the Dutch capital.

If you want an authentically Dutch experience, look no further than this deluxe canal tour. Unlike other watery Amsterdam cruises, you'll be riding in style on a boat normally only available for private tours.

Built in 1915, your quirky saloon boat only holds 12 passengers, so it's a world away from the tourist-packed cruisers you might see clogging the canals. It's also much more maneuverable, meaning you can squeeze down the smaller canals which are strictly off-limits to the big boys.

And forget pre-recorded audio guides, your seasoned skipper is also an expert on Amsterdam's history. You'll learn all about Rembrandt's life and work as you glide past the streets he used to walk down 400 years ago.

And why not combine your cruise with a ticket to the Rijksmuseum for a delightfully Dutch cultural double-bill?

I booked this trip for my mom and aunt and they loved it. It was so special to be on a small wooden boat with a small group instead of the typical canal cruisers. My mom and aunt got lost looking for the dock and the people who ran the tour were so helpful to call and help them find their way and wait until they arrived. It was exceptionally kind and we were all really grateful they didn't miss the tour. Thanks so much again, your boat tour made their trip!

We (1 Dutch & 2 Mexicans) really had a wonderful trip on this beautiful boat. Pauline, was very knowledgeable about Amsterdam and its history and we learned a lot from her. We took the trip on a rainy day, but despite the rain we enjoyed it. We got coffee, stroopwafels and were warm and cosy under a blanket. There are some 'windows' which we could open to take gorgeous pictures. I would definitely recommend this boat tour!

This was an excellent tour! I really can’t express how much our girls group enjoyed it. The captain was very informative, funny and had great knowledge of the history of Amsterdam. My husband and I went last year with another company and this tour was 10 times better! If you’re planning a canal cruise of Amsterdam this is the boat for you!
