Water Colors Cruise - Amsterdam Light Festival
This was a very great trip through the canals of Amsterdam, where several art items where on display. Our captain Flip moved his boat swiftly through the canals and paused at every art work to give people the time to take pictures. He also gave the necessary (humourous) explanation about the objects and buildings along the canals. This cruise is definitely worth it! If you're staying at Amsterdam between December and January you should try it out! My compliments to Flip, thanks for the lovely evening.

Water Colors Cruise - Amsterdam Light Festival
We had to wait in line for over an hour, although the ticket had been sold with a specific time of departure. Clearly they just kept selling tickets without having the space for the passengers, resulting in longer and longer waiting times. Asked why this was the case and why they were selling tickets indicating a time at all then, the service people could not give an answer.

Water Colors Cruise - Amsterdam Light Festival
The light festival was gorgeous and I loved every minute of it.
Waiting to get into the boat (30+ minutes) was less than wonderful despite a DJ who did what he could to make the time go by more quickly. Towards the end of the trip we also noticed that there was a 'traffic jam of boats' so that the final part of the journey went slowly. Many of the children on board found this 'difficult'. Having said that, I enjoyed the trip enormously and loved seeing the lights. I would have given this trip a five star if I hadn't had to wait in line so long. I guess no one much likes that and I am no exception. I have recommended the trip to others and included the info about waiting. That way, it is not an unpleasant surprise...

Water Colors Cruise - Amsterdam Light Festival
Unique, sometimes pretty, some different history. Smelly boat (mildew), loud voiceover, stale jokes, soporific.

We picked our tickets up from the Lovers terminal no problem. However there is no priority boarding or beat the queue, everyone wAits for the next boat. The tour was good but the Captain could of done with being trained about what we were seeing, he told us he could not tell us. We were on the Nemo boat that had disco lights on the ceiling.
