BODY WORLDS: The Happiness Project

The German anatomist Gunther von Hagens, who invented the plastination technique in the late 1970s at teh University of Heidelberg, developed this exhibition.

The Body Worlds Exhibition was first presented in 1995. Showing whole bodies plastinated in lifelike poses and dissected to show various structures and systems of human anatomy, which has since met with public interest and controversy in more than 50 museums and venues around the world.

Enjoyed visit,but thought there would b less plastique body’s used.useful as a biology for teenagers studying biology.also too expensive for visit.

A visit to Amsterdam has to include tickets to Body Worlds. Absolutely awesome, thought provoking and educational. Highly recommended. It is also something for the entire family - education for young and old. Superb!

We found this really interesting and learned many facts about the workings of the body. The displays were pretty graphic. Certainly worth a visit!
