'Your Loving Vincent’: Van Gogh’s Greatest Letters
Now on  - Jan 10, 2021

Van Gogh not only poured his emotions out onto the canvas, but he also left a collection of letters that chronicled his dreams and disappointments, his friendships, love life, and his battle with illness.

The Van Gogh Museum's latest exhibition showcases the best of the artist's letters displayed alongside his masterpieces, including The Bedroom, The Potato Eaters, and The Sower. His written work often came accompanied with sketches that he was working on or had recently completed, allowing visitors to feel as if they were glancing over the artist's shoulder more than a century after his passing.

The visit was pleasant - especially the guide in the tour. He was an experienced and clever man. In fact it was my last chance to have tickets for the museum during my stay in Amsterdam, but I think it was too expensive. No matter, the advantage was very, very good ;)
