* Please note that from January 3rd to February 4th, the venue will be closed everyday between 12.30 and 14.00 * Since January 2022, access to the chapel's interior is suspended from time to time

Although Château d'Amboise was a royal residence from the 15th to the 19th centuries, construction on the grounds dates back to the 9th century! You can revel in medieval, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture in this enchanting structure that towers over the River Loire.

The château is intrinsically linked to France's history, having hosted tragedy and beauty. It was once the stomping ground of the greatest Renaissance artists.

Kids loved it, not high traffic or too big. Great views of the city and the histopad really engaged them.

Love this chateau - a little too much of the animated movie & the 3rd D pad not worth it - audio tours in other chateau’s much better
