Lords and ladies loved to collect exotic animals in the 16th century. All the way until the end of the 1700s, the lords of Chantilly paraded their wealth and stature by creating menageries full of native animals and those brought from far-off lands.

Through The Menagerie of Chantilly visitors can discover rare archival artifacts from the Library of Chantilly, the Condé Museum, the Library of the Institut de France, and the National Museum of Natural History.

While the adults pore over delicate porcelain artifacts and beautiful paintings, there are special animal-themed activities for the little ones to enjoy.
