There’s no doubt about it: Summer is here and we couldn’t be more excited to get back to museums and attractions! Having trouble deciding how to spend your summer in Orlando and Tampa? This list of summer must-sees in these two stunning cities will give you ample inspiration for what to see and do. Time to start planning! 

LEGOLAND® Florida (Orlando)

For the toy masters

Why you’ll love it: An entire park dedicated to the most classic toy in the world – what’s not to love?! Enter this brick-building capital of Florida and let your imagination run wild in a wonderfully fun kid-friendly adventure park. With over 50 rides, a host of creative workshops, and a bunch of immersive attractions, there’s plenty of fun to go around.  Explore a stunning botanical garden, get active with ninjas, set sail on the high seas with a couple of swashbuckling pirates, and – of course – design your own city.

Glazer Children’s Museum (Tampa)

For the kids

Why you’ll love it: An educational imagination factory that kids will adore. This creative space is great for young minds to expand their horizons without the classrooms or exams!  Let your kids climb, dance, and run around a variety of exhibits that will truly help them learn through play.

Museum of Illusions Orlando

For a mind-boggling experience

Why you’ll love it: A fun and colourful day out with plenty of brain-teasing photo opportunities! Ready to have your brain teased, your funny bone tickled and your world turned upside down? Welcome to Orlando’s Museum of Illusions. Explore the Infinity Room, try to figure out the topsy-turvy Reverse Room, and shrink yourself in the Ames Room – don’t forget to take pictures of each silly situation to try and work out later.

Henry B. Plant Museum (Tampa)

For the history lover 

Why you’ll love it: Mid-Victorian-era grandeur, Moorish-Revival architecture and Floridian history all rolled into one stunning museum. If Florida’s Gilded Age history has always fascinated you, this is the museum for you. With its opulent rooms, period furniture and jaw-dropping grandeur, the Henry B. Plant Museum offers a glimpse into America’s Gilded Age you’ll want to stare at all day. 

Clearwater Marine Aquarium (Tampa)

For marine life fans

Why you’ll love it: A chance to meet a celebrity dolphin! If meeting Winter, the bottlenosed star of the Hollywood film Dolphin Tale, doesn’t convince you, then one of the other hundreds of sea animals at Clearwater surely will. See sharks, eels, rays, pelicans, sea turtles and otters, and learn all about the rescue, rehabilitation and release of animals at the aquarium.
