From the caramel malts of Andorra\u2019s La Birreria Trapella, to the honey notes of Zimbabwe\u2019s Lighthouse Lager, we humans are hopping mad for the amber nectar.<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Nowhere do they hail the ale more than in the Czech Republic. The Czechs drink more beer per capita than anyone else in the world. Responsibly, of course.<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>If you\u2019re planning on visiting Prague, it\u2019s likely you\u2019re looking for ways to experience some of that famous pils passion. But where to drink beer in the bar-laden Czech capital? The top spots for a pint (or three) depend entirely on who you\u2019re talking to, but here are a few watering holes where both the beer and the atmosphere come nicely chilled.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"beergeek-bar\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/beergeek.cz\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BeerGeek Bar<\/a><\/em><br><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bearded beer connoisseurs rejoice! A hipster\u2019s dream, these guys don\u2019t pour big name brands. The whole bar has been built by hand, with 32 taps of craft beer and over 500 bottled options. With new beers connected every day, you\u2019re guaranteed a unique experience. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"bredovsky-dvur\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.restauracebredovskydvur.cz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bredovsk\u00fd Dv\u016fr<\/a><\/em><br><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perfect if you\u2019re looking for something a little more traditional. Think low ceilings, stone floors and walls adorned with the autographed shirts of famous Czech footballers. With in-house lager tanks and a unique tapping system, you\u2019re guaranteed as crisp a Pilsner Urquell as anywhere else in the city.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"bad-flash-bar\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.badflash.cz\/nase-podniky\/bad-flash-bar-krymska\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bad Flash Bar<\/a><\/em><br><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A modern pub vibe, with 12 beers on tap and more than 450 options in the fridge from around the world. Over on Krymsk\u00e1 Street, away from the bustle and buzz of the historic center, the guys at Bad Flash are flavor fiends \u2013 they don&#8217;t do bland. Need we say more? You can\u2019t miss it, it\u2019s in the heart of the busy Wenceslas Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"pivovar-narodni\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pivovarnarodni.cz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pivovar N\u00e1rodn\u00ed<\/a><\/em><br><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hearty Czech food, and handcrafted beer in the medieval center of Prague. This one is recommended by locals and tourists alike, and has the advantage of a spacious terrace in the courtyard of the Vor\u0161ilsk\u00fd Monastery.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"u-zlateho-tygra\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uzlatehotygra.cz\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U Zlat\u00e9ho Tygra<\/a><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re looking for pub grub, be warned, you&#8217;ll probably need to book a table. For a perfectly poured pilsner, you should be able to turn up and find a spot inside this rustic 14th-century burgher house, just like former U.S. president Bill Clinton did in 1994. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"prague-beer-walk-and-czech-beer-museum\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Prague Beer Walk and Czech Beer Museum<\/strong><br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A sure-fire way to see some of the city\u2019s oldest beer haunts and taste some local tipples. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiqets.com\/en\/prague-c64162\/prague-beer-tour-czech-beer-museum-p978340\">guided tour<\/a> gives an insight into the Czech affection for <em>pivo<\/em>, which has been brewed over 1,000 years. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hop from pub to pub and try three complimentary beers, including some local specialties. There\u2019s a tasty meal included for you to wash down, and your lager lecturer will regale you with interesting anecdotes and amusing stories on a three-hour wander about town.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tour includes access to the Czech Beer Museum. Reinforce your new-found knowledge with a self-guided look around exhibits of old brewing tools, pub memorabilia and a wall of famous bottled beers. And, of course, there\u2019s a tasting. Just follow the steep steps down into the basement for samples of the good stuff.<br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tiqets.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/0cc766709a1847a3a18d39d981ff9d0f.jpg\" alt=\"Prague Beer Walk and Czech Beer Museum\" class=\"wp-image-231498\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Czech Beer Museum, Prague, Czech. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 id=\"kozel-brewery-tour\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kozel Brewery Tour<\/strong><br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re into lager (let\u2019s face it, if you made it this far down the page, you\u2019re into lager) then you\u2019ll recognize the pint-wielding goat emblazoned on Kozel&#8217;s logo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If not, a tour of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiqets.com\/en\/prague-c64162\/kozel-brewery-guided-visit-roundtrip-from-prague-p977898\">Velk\u00e9 Popovice Brewery<\/a> is a great introduction to one of the best-exported Czech beers.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learn about the raw materials that combine to produce Kozel\u2019s special pale and dark brews, and trace its history way back to 1870.
