So, enter the wondrously free-from-doctrine world of creative advertisement, where artists get to play around with some of the greats of art history. Here are 8 examples of famous art in advertisements.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"1-da-vincis-last-supper-reimagined-as-a-gamblers-table\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>1. Da Vinci\u2019s Last Supper<\/strong><\/span><strong> reimagined as a gambler&#8217;s table<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/tiqets-cdn\/wordpress\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/last_supper_paddypower.jpg\" alt=\"advertisements inspired by famous artists: da vinci's last supper\" class=\"wp-image-796\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This familiar advert for an online casino is as blasphemous as it is well executed \u2013 the only thing missing is that touch of <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiqets.com\/blog\/things-to-see-at-the-louvre\/\" target=\"_blank\">sublimity Da Vinci had a knack for.<\/a><\/span> Interested in seeing the real thing for yourself? Da Vinci&#8217;s famous painting resides inside the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, which you can visit as part of this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiqets.com\/en\/milan-attractions-c71749\/tickets-for-best-of-milan-duomo-the-last-supper-teatro-alla-scala-p976786\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Best of Milan tour<\/a>. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"2-van-goghs-self-portrait-to-catch-the-eye\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>2. Van Gogh\u2019s Self Portrait<\/strong><\/span> <strong>to catch the eye<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If there\u2019s one thing we can learn from this French optician\u2019s advertisement, it\u2019s that a bit of blur makes a great portrait. And using van Gogh&#8217;s self portrait to illustrate (see what we did there?) that point makes for a good advert. A Picasso lookalike<\/strong><\/span><strong> to promote yoga<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This advert for a fitness center <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiqets.com\/blog\/forgeries-theft-and-the-criminal-underbelly-of-the-art-world\/\" target=\"_blank\">could almost be seen as a forgery<\/a>, if it weren&#8217;t such a well executed compliment. Not only does it imitate Picasso, it&#8217;s paired with a phrase that would not have looked out of place on one of Picasso&#8217;s own paintings. <\/span>The best way to enjoy some of the artist&#8217;s original works? The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiqets.com\/en\/picasso-birthplace-museum-tickets-l145929\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Picasso Birthplace Museum<\/a>, of course. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/tiqets-cdn\/wordpress\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Picasso-Fitness-Center-1.jpg\" alt=\"advertisements inspired by famous artists: Picasso gym ad\" class=\"wp-image-800\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"4-mondrian-in-rubbles\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>4. Mondrian in rubbles<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This advert by an art logistics company isn&#8217;t just recognisable, it&#8217;s clever too. For who doesn&#8217;t recognise the primary colours, blocks and lines that Piet Mondriaan was famous for \u2013 even if they are in a pile in the corner as opposed to neatly stacked in the middle? After all, nobody would want their shipped-and-delivered Mondrian to turn up on their doorstep in a pile of rubble. This little genius has already learned that there\u2019s no better place for contemplation than the bathroom. While we couldn&#8217;t say for certain, we\u2019re pretty sure Dal\u00ed&nbsp;would approve<\/span> this message.
