But, ever wondered what Tiqets is doing behind the scenes to make sure these things happen? We spoke with Aline from the Product department and got the scoop on how Tiqets tailors its service to benefit consumers while working closely with partners to offer the best ticketing service possible.
Tell me what you do at Tiqets?
My team is focused on Tiqets for Venues, which is an all-encompassing service we provide to our ‘tours and attractions’ partners. I work on partner implementations by making sure the tools we offer work well for our partners. My team and I make sure that our partners have successful implementations, therefore ensuring high quality, seamless experiences to end customers.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m currently dedicating my time to the Tiqets Booking Engine. This is an end-to-end tool that is fully integrated into the websites of our partner venues.
The Booking Engine allows customers to seamlessly book a ticket to a museum or attraction in their preferred language and choose from multiple payment options – it’s a great mobile experience! It is designed to be easy for venues to implement and integrate into their website, but still be a robust widget. It’s ridiculously easy to use; when visitors look for information on a museum’s or attraction’s website, they can also book entry tickets in one simple, elegant flow – both on desktop and mobile.
I regularly work with partners directly to support them in implementing the Booking Engine, and to gather insights and feedback. Then, my team and I ensure these implementations continue to work optimally through regular monitoring and testing.
What is your favorite thing about your job and working in the Product team?
My favorite part is the diversity of the people, projects, and skill sets that I get to interact with. My role is exciting and involves continual learning because I coordinate these varieties of expertise in order to get services live and running for our partners. To give you an example, my team comprises of developers, data scientists, a UX designer, and a product manager. Part of my job is also to work with Tiqets’ Content team so that when a venue begins a partnership with us, I can make sure that their service or offering is ready to be booked in the language of their visitors.
How does a tool like the Booking Engine benefit travelers who want to purchase tickets to cultural venues and attractions?
The Tiqets Booking Engine is a native mobile tool, but not every partner’s website is optimized for mobile. So, this is where the Booking Engine comes in. It makes it easy for any website to offer a simple, high-converting checkout flow to their website. The best part? The Booking Engine is fully branded in their desired colors and logo.
We believe that when a customer arrives at a partner’s website, there should be a clear call to action to book a ticket. Having an online booking possibility in the customer’s own language and payment method of choice (from PayPal to Alipay – we have it all!) makes for a pleasant and effortless user experience.
Booking Engine aside, Tiqets for Venues also offers a range of solutions to allow customers to book tickets wherever they encounter them online. Tiqets is the first online ticketing partner to work with Google on ‘Reserve with Google’. This is a simple booking process found directly on Google’s search results page. Customers love this flow because it makes online booking accessible without barriers. Also in line with our mission to make culture more accessible, Tiqets has a WeChat mini-program. This connects thousands of museums and attractions to one of the world’s biggest markets through the revolutionary WeChat platform.
